Outside museum the world, I helped set-up, and continue to be involved with a Community MakerSpace, offering a space for creativity, making, tinkering and learning, open to everyone from 4 to 84 years. I also volunteer with Forth Valley Welcome supporting new Scots through the refugee process and integration into the local community.
What connects both is the chance to be part of someone else's progress. I value sharing in those moments and feel I take as much away from the experience as the people I support.
When I'm not tied to my desk I like to be out in the Scottish landscape trail running across the Ochil hills, cycling and hill walking with my wife and reluctant dog.
